Don't mind me...just geeking out over how many elements of this wave are visible in this image. Let's start with the obvious, the splash in front of the wall of water. That brings us to what is green in this shot, the wall of water, or what I often think of as the underbelly of the wave. My favorite part of this image? It's that "splash" that is within the wall of water. Or maybe you'd prefer I not dissect it using my unscientific terms? If so, just enjoy!

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
