I do wish Oriental Bittersweet was not a invasive species. Then I wouldn't have to feel guilty about liking it so much and looking forward to when the outer layer of the fruit splits open and exposes the deep red-orange part of the fruit. It's one of the few elements of color left as most of the trees are now bare until next spring.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
