Artist's Description

While I do see deer from time to time along the bike trail, I was surprised to see this beautiful fawn eating next to the trail. I saw it from far enough away that I was able to pull over, collect my camera, and slowly walk a little closer. When this cutie noticed me, it walked toward me, appearing to be curious. Shortly after this shot, it stopped and went back to eating until another cyclist came into the area.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends. My love of animals and all of God's creation has inspired me ever since. There are so many details to discover outdoors, from bees collecting nectar to the great expanse of mountains and oceans.
