We've had a lot of rain lately, and the water levels are up. It's making for some interesting color patterns on the surface of the water, and this is just one example that I found myself playing with as I took pictures. I love how the shadows and dark edges give this a little extra drama.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
