Coming across a fawn on the bike trail was a real treat, and getting off a few shots was a bigger treat. Everything was going well (for a few shots), and then...a cyclist followed by another rode into the area. An attempt was made to slow down and not scare this cutie, but into the woods it fled. I did walk up to see if I could see it in the trees, and I discovered not one but two fawns standing together in the trees! Sorry to say I couldn't get a clean shot, but it made my day.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
