I had no idea I was taking a picture of a Palm Warbler at the time I took this. I was thinking I was probably looking at a female yellow warbler. I was pleasantly surprised to find this guy perching so nicely between two curving branches in a lovely setting that says Spring to me. These warblers don't stick around here. We are in their migratory path as they head further north.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
