Artist's Description
While I might not think of myself as a threat to a family of swans, they seem to think otherwise. Mom was sitting on a nest (in the foreground of the picture) with 5 fuzzy little cignets when Dad spotted me from the other end of the pond. He paddled about halfway over and then flew in with a perfectly smooth landing. He stayed within a few feet of the nest the entire time I was in the area. This is a quarantine shot, taken in my neighborhood.

About Linda Bonaccorsi
I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends. My love of animals and all of God's creation has inspired me ever since. There are so many details to discover outdoors, from bees collecting nectar to the great expanse of mountains and oceans.
