Once the Mallards on the pond received their memo from the Canada Geese on the pond, they headed closer to see If there was something in my visit for them. It was nice of the smaller Mallards to paddle in front of the geese. I couldn't have staged it better. I doubt I'd be adding an image if their positions had been reversed.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
