There are still some Autum Meadowhawk Dragonflies to be found, and this one was hanging around a patch of Black-eyed Susans. These wildflowers attract small pollinators that dragonflies feed on, and dragonflies also like to eat mosquitoes. Seems like a pretty mosquito control method to me.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England.
