I may have posted a lot of seascape pictures recently, but I assure you, it's still winter here. This image was taken on the same day as the previous four pictures. I don't see any green, do you? That does not mean it is lacking beauty. Look at all those different layers of dormant vegetation and their multiple shades of gold and brown. To be honest, the deer on the distant hill are what caught my attention and why I actually snapped a few pictures. It was the landscape that won me over when I went through my pictures.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends. My love of animals and all of God's creation has inspired me ever since. There are so many details to discover outdoors, from bees collecting nectar to the great expanse of mountains and oceans.
