Come Hither or Go Away Canvas Print

I was too busy trying to get pictures of all the activity between several Mallards to grasp the entire scenario playing out before me. It was, however, obvious with all the chasing, bobbing and whistling that it's mating season for these ducks, but what I can't tell you is whether the loud quacks from this female was an attempt to draw the attention of one of the males to her obvious beauty, or if it was a warning to stay away. She did this several times while I took pictures.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends. My love of animals and all of God's creation has inspired me ever since. There are so many details to discover outdoors, from bees collecting nectar to the great expanse of mountains and oceans.
