The Arctic-breeding Brant does not behave exactly like its cousin, the Canada Goose, but it shares its "bottoms up" technique for obtaining food in the water. No matter how many times I see this behavior, I can't help but be amused.

About Linda Bonaccorsi
I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
