The deer are pretty used to people at this location, so they're not too disturbed when someone stops on the trail, a few feet from where they are feeding. They were so relaxed I had to wait for just one to take a breath, lift its head, and look at me. It was a good look though wasn't it.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England.
