My first job as a teenager (oh so many years ago) was in a fabric store. One of the first things I bought was a sewing machine. I don't sew any more, but I still often think in terms of fabric and sewing elements. While this was taken at the same spot as the previous image, this ice lace looks like it could be used as a ruffle on a sleeve (not that ruffles are in style at the moment).

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
