Description
You don't want to eat False Turkey Tail, so make sure you know the difference between this and Turkey Tail (edible). Don't rely on my ID either; I'm not very knowledgeable. This False Turkey Tail (according to my phone app) is making use of a fallen tree, and I love the detail that you can see in this image.

Interesting information and capture, did not know you could eat either kind. Morels, and puffballs which appear in the early fall are the only two that I know you can safely cook. I love mushrooms, but mostly just buy the ones in the stores now, but used to love hunting for morels.

I think Turkey Tail is ground up into a powder. So, you wouldn't eat it in the same way you eat the others. Thanks Angela!
