My Red-tailed Hawk (yes, after this series of shots, I've decided it's mine) made a few direct stares at me and my camera. We were both out in the open, but I'm guessing this young hawk was too frustrated and hungry to care. When I walked away, it was still sitting on this branch, and the squirrel that got away twice was still sitting on a branch, clearly agitated by the hawk's presence. I wasn't sure who I should be rooting for, but I was relieved I didn't have to watch an actual kill.
