On the return part of my walk, I found this Carolina Wren still belting out his song in the same area I had seen him on my way out. This time he was in the reeds, just a few feet away from where I had previously spotted him. He gave me so many opportunities to photograph him, and he was definitely the highlight of my walk.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England.
