This had to be one of the largest Tiger Swallowtail Butterflies I've seen. What a beauty!. I followed it around a bit while it searched for the right place to land and enjoy some nectar. I love how this angle lets us see how its body is actually striped like its wings.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England.
