Anybody else think bumble bees are cute? I might not want to hold one in my hand (although I know a couple of people who would), but they're like the teddy bear of the bee world. They're chubby and fuzzy, and they look awkward suspended in air by wings that look too small. I've walked through areas that were thick with them, and they are just interested in getting their next pollen meal.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
