Late afternoon light does a great job of highlighting that breaking wave. It was a pretty good sized wave for this location, and the waves were hitting fast and hard. The rocks in the area make for obstacles that work with the waves to produce wonderful splashes. Too bad I needed to get home, otherwise, I could have spent so much more time just enjoying the show.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England.
