This is a new wildflower for me, and how cool is this?! My wildflower app tells me it's called Ragged-robin. We spent a week in the Berkshires, but we saw this at only one area, Mass Audubon Canoe Meadows. There were patches of them along the trail, and they were so wispy, especially as the stems carried more blooms.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends. My love of animals and all of God's creation has inspired me ever since. There are so many details to discover outdoors, from bees collecting nectar to the great expanse of mountains and oceans.
