Well hello there! I decided to go up a path I hadn't been on in a long time, and I found this blue heron in a great spot for looking for its next meal while still being tucked away where it wouldn't be easily noticed. It had its own little quiet spot until I showed up. It moved around a bit but was still there when I left it alone.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends. My love of animals and all of God's creation has inspired me ever since. There are so many details to discover outdoors, from bees collecting nectar to the great expanse of mountains and oceans.
