Dogwood comes in so many varieties. The one we have outside our front door produces simple white to pale chartreuse flowers and blooms later in the season. But this pink species continues that burst of color that started with our first spring bloomers. It's such a simple bloom, but when you see a tree covered in this lovely pink, it's a sight to behold.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
