I have a habit of claiming the local wildlife as mine. We have a chipmunk that shows up on our front steps, and I have named him, "My Chipmunk," but the thing is, nobody else is allowed to call him by that name. I know, I have issues. On a recent day trip to Cape Cod, I spent a few minutes taking pictures of this tern who was willing to put up with me. I think it's appropriate I call it "My Tern," don't you?

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
