I thought I had missed my chance to get milkweed this year, but I found a patch along the bike trail on what will likely be my last ride of the season. It was late afternoon, and the sun created a wonderful glow behind the milkweed.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
