We met this happy dog on the beach. He came running up to us with his ball in his mouth. He did not drop the ball but gave us a very friendly greeting. We watched him for a few minutes, and I can confirm, he has perfected how to play on the beach. If dogs can experience joy, this is what it looks like.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
