Turns out all the nasty weather we've had lately has created some interesting photography opportunities. The big rains and winds have taken down a lot of trees, and in this case, a pine tree has fallen and is lying across the canal. I think it wears the new snow really well.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
