It's still February, isn't it? That means it's winter in New England, or so I thought. This magnolia tree is getting an early start with it's wonderful soft buds. It snowed two days after this followed by a flash freeze. Not sure if these buds survived.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
