It had been cold. Then, it had been not so cold, and we'd had some rain. I'm not sure if it was a bit of melting or from the rain, but this section of ice was really pretty. I did play with saturation levels to bring out the purple tones, but I am in Heart with this!

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
