Colors vary depending on what part of the world you're in and which beach you're at, but I'm pretty sure you will find this basic breakdown in color in the waves as they hit any sand beach. In the distance, you'll find the blue, aqua, emerald...of the deeper water. As the wave breaks, and the light passes through the water, you'll find a lighter shade (around here, it's usually green). And finally, where the water mixes with the sand, we get sand color (whatever that color might be), of course. I love seeing those colors all together!

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England.
