Amazing what a sunrise can do for a little patch of beach! This color is for real, and I was just as surprised as you. I'll let you in on a little secret: I don't spend much time taking my pictures. I see something that looks interesting, I take some pictures and I move on. So, it's not uncommon for me to be surprised when I pull up my pictures. I love surprises like this.

I grew up in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, and while some might find the endless rolling plains to be boring, I love the open space and fantastic sunsets. I have since lived in Minnesota, Rhode Island (briefly), New Hampshire, and now reside in Massachusetts. Most of my photos were taken in New England. I started taking pictures around the age of 10, borrowing my dad's point and shoot to document my adventures during a trip to Colorado with close family friends.
